It might not be long until diners can order margaritas and espresso martinis to-go from Pennsylvania restaurants and bars.
On Tuesday, the state House of Representatives passed a bill that would allow establishments to permanently sell mixed drinks to-go. The bill now moves to the state Senate for consideration.
Originally, the law signed by Gov. Tom Wolf in May 2020, was designed as a temporary lifesaver during the height of the coronavirus pandemic shutdowns. Now, supporters say continuing it will help restaurants rebound.
