Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) Formula Grants Program – Incorporated entities can use funds to plan, design, construct, operate, and maintain Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE) sites across Pennsylvania. Pennsylvania Department of Labor & Industry (DOL) Nursing Pathway Apprenticeship Programs Grant – The Shapiro Administration announces the availability of nearly $504,000 in grant funding to boost the ranks of nurses in communities most impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic through the earn-as-you-learn apprenticeship career model. With this second round of Nursing Pathway Apprenticeship grant funding, eligible applicants can continue to offer in-demand training for nursing occupations including home health aides, certified nursing assistants, and licensed practical nurses. DCNR Volunteer Fire Assistance Program (VFA) – The key objectives of this program are to save lives and protect property in unprotected or inadequately protected rural areas. Therefore, the selection of the participating agencies must be based on vulnerability and the adequacy of existing fire protection. This is a cost-share program. Financial assistance on any project during any fiscal year cannot exceed 50 percent of the actual expenditures, including expenditures of local, public, and private nonprofit organizations participating in the agreement. Pennsylvania Department of Education (DOE) Disability Inclusive Curriculum Pilot Program – Public school entities and nonpublic schools. Funds can be used to implement disability inclusive curriculum. Deadline: May 15, 2023. Click here for more information.
Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency (PCCD) Intermediate Punishment Treatment Programs – Counties to support restrictive conditions that are imposed as part of a county probation sentence, needed drug and alcohol-related services, and mental health treatment and supportive services for eligible individuals. Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency (PEMA) Homeland Security Grant Program – The high-level objective of this federal grant program is to provide funds to eligible entities to support state, local, tribal, and territorial efforts to prevent terrorism and other catastrophic events and to prepare the nation for the threats and hazards that pose the greatest risk to the security of the United States. Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture (DOA) Farm to School Grant Program – Any school district, school, charter school, private school, or center with prekindergarten, kindergarten, elementary, or middle school classes through eighth grade that participates in a Federal Child Nutrition Program. Funds can be used to improve access to healthy, local foods and increasing hands-on learning experiences for children in pre-kindergarten through eighth grade. Deadline: May 19, 2023. Center for Beef Excellence (CBE) Pennsylvania Bull Credit Program – Assist Pennsylvania beef producers in purchasing quality bulls that will enhance the value of feeder steers going to market, as well as replacement heifers added back to their herd. Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency (PCCD) 2022 Child Advocacy Center Development Grant – PCCD is now accepting applications for funding under Act 1 of 2013, better known as the “Endowment Act”. The primary purpose of the Endowment Act is to distribute $48 million in National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) monetary penalties levied on the Pennsylvania State University (PSU) to the victims of child sexual abuse in the Commonwealth. Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency (PCCD) Developing Satellite CACs – 2022 Grant – PCCD announces the availability of state Endowment Act funds to support residents of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania who have been child victims of physical and/or sexual abuse. The Developing Satellite CACs – 2022 solicitation is for Category 2 – Multidisciplinary Investigative Teams (MDIT) of the Endowment Act. Funding under this category is limited to supporting the development of satellite location(s) in counties in the Commonwealth that may not have enough child abuse cases to sustain an independent CAC. DCED Abandoned Mine Drainage Abatement and Treatment Program (AMDATP) – Municipalities, Councils of Governments, Authorized Organization, Institution of Higher Education, Watershed Organization, For-Profit Businesses. Funds can be used for projects which involve the reclamation of Abandoned Mine Well(s), construction of a new AMD site, remediation and repair of existing AMD project sites, operation and maintenance maintaining current AMD remediation sites, establishment of trust fund to ensure ongoing maintenance is achieved, and monitoring of water quality to track or continue to trace non-point source load reductions resulting from AMD remediation projects. DCED Baseline Water Quality Data Program – Municipalities, Councils of Governments, Authorized Organization, Institution of Higher Education, Watershed Organization, For-Profit Businesses. Funds can be used for projects which involve practices for water sample collection and analysis to document existing groundwater quality conditions on private water supplies. Deadline: May 31, 2023. DCED Flood Mitigation Program (FMP) – Municipalities, Councils of Governments, Authorized Organization, Institution of Higher Education, Watershed Organization, For-Profit Businesses. Funds can be used for projects authorized by a flood protection authority, the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Corps) or the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) or identified by a local government for flood mitigation are eligible for the program. Pennsylvania Department of Labor & Industry (DOL) Building and Supporting a Certified Teacher Registered Apprenticeship Program – Organizations or individuals with extensive knowledge of Pennsylvania’s education system. Pennsylvania Department of Labor & Industry (DOL) Supporting Broadband Infrastructure through Apprenticeships Grant – The PAsmart Supporting Broadband Infrastructure initiative provides $800,000 in grant funding to expand and support existing Registered Apprenticeship and/or Pre-Apprenticeship Programs in broadband-related occupations with a specific focus on diverse talent pipelines and underserved populations. Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs (DDAP) Recovery Housing Program – All eligible Applicants shall be any entity registered with the Pennsylvania Department of State which is able to provide recovery housing for individuals recovering from SUD according to Act 59 of 2017 and any subsequent regulations thereafter. Funds can be used to complete demolition, debris removal, rehabilitation improvements, environmental remediation cost, construction and inspections in order to meet Pennsylvania’s Recovery Housing licensure requirements. Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) COVID-19 ARPA PA Broadband Infrastructure Program – Any business, not-for-profit organization, municipality, or economic development organization with the technical, managerial, and financial expertise to design, build, and operate high-speed broadband service infrastructure within the Commonwealth is eligible to apply. The purpose of the Program is to facilitate the deployment of high-speed broadband service infrastructure in unserved and underserved areas of the Commonwealth. Deadline: July 10, 2023. Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) Multimodal Transportation Fund – Municipalities, Councils of Government, Businesses, Economic Development Organizations, Public Transportation Agencies and Ports-Rails/Freight. Funds may be used for the development, rehabilitation and enhancement of transportation assets to existing communities, streetscape, lighting, sidewalk enhancement, pedestrian safety, connectivity of transportation assets and transit-oriented development. Pennsylvania Historical & Museum (PHMC) Historical & Archival Records Care Grants – Funds can be used by Historical societies, libraries (public and private), museums with archives and records management responsibilities, historical records, repositories whose primary mission is the preservation of historical records to make them available to the public, non-profit community organizations responsible for the care of historical records, museums and historic sites that are owned and operated by independent nonprofit organizations, museums and historic sites that are owned by the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission are eligible if they are operated by an independent, nonprofit organization, county governments, municipalities, colleges and universities, school districts, other historical organizations with collections consistently available for research, organizations with the mission to help care for collections not necessarily their own, statewide elected official and government associations (e.g. Pennsylvania State Association of Township Supervisors (PSATS), Pennsylvania Prothonotaries’ and Clerks of Courts’ Association, Pennsylvania School Boards Association, etc.) Funds will improve the preservation of historically valuable original records. Pennsylvania Council of Arts Creative Sector Flex Fund – The Flex Fund provides support to eligible applicants that provide consistent annual levels of artistic programming and/or arts services in Pennsylvania. One application per applicant per year may be submitted. Eligible uses of grant funds include but are not limited to operating or programming expenditures. Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture (DOA) Resource Enhancement & Protection Program (REAP) – REAP is a first-come, first-served program that enables farmers, businesses, and landowners to earn PA income tax credits to offset the cost of implementing conservation practices. Tax credits provided by the REAP program helps farmers off-set the costs of implementing best management practices (BMPs) that benefit their farms and work to protect water quality at the same time. Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency (PHFA) Housing Options Grant Program – Non-profits and developers. Funds can be used to help continue affordable housing production in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Deadline: All grants should be awarded no later than December 31, 2024.
